What's in a book...
My handmade (blank) books are unique and eclectic, with a personalized flair and thoughtful features. I'm a self taught book artist and truly love making them. I take great care in the crafting of each book, using high quality papers of all styles, paired with distinguishing novelties such as inlaid gemstones, leather, and uncommon decorative buttons. My books have been identified as capacious treasures in which people feel inspired to explore who they are through their writings, art works, and whatever else feels invited to emerge throughout the pages.

Elements Considered when Designing a Book
If you are interested in ordering a book we will have a conversation about who the book is for, what types of elements are common in that person's life, textures and colors that would feel appropriate, and more. Here are some things I'll ask you to think about as we create your book:
Cost usually begins between $130-175, for a book that's roughly 6.5" x 9.5" with 240 pages. Embellishments, such as gemstones, pewter closures, or certain leathers, will increase the cost. |
Using Books as an Avenue of Expression
in the Therapeutic Process
Books provide a wonderful space through which to explore one's personal process through a therapeutic context. Books can reflect metaphors of being held throughout the ebb and flow of our struggles and strengths, or surrendering ourselves to the unknown of the blank page. Passages, simple phrases, and the art within such books extends therapeutic themes, such as exploring what is necessary to establish trust in the context of relationships. There are endless ways to express who we are and where we are in our life's unfolding, through the creation of a book.
